Who Knows Who Best? Game Show
Wednesday, March 12th – 8-10p.m. – O’Kelly’s. Roommates, friends, and couples compete against each other to see what pair knows each other the best, as we create a modified version of The Newlywed Game. Contestants will attempt to come up with the same answer to a wide variety of questions. The cost to participate is $10 per pair and must be paid in advance. Please register through our contact information. The event will have 50/50 and raffle drawings throughout the night, with all proceeds going directly to the Women’s Aid Shelter of Isabella County. Hoops for Heroes 3v3 Basketball Tournament
Saturday, March 15th – Registration at 11:30a.m.; games begin at Noon – Rose Center 125 & 126. 3v3 basketball tournament with up to four players per team. Single elimination event using CMU Intramural rules. Waiver must be signed to play. Event includes food, raffles, and prizes for winning teams of both male and female brackets. Entry fee is $25 per team before the event and $30 at the door. $1 spectator fee. All proceeds will benefit the: Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund. Hawaiian Roller Luau Skate for Teens
Friday, March 21st – 5-7p.m. – Spinning Wheels Roller Arena. A roller-skating social with a Hawaiian Luau theme. This social event will include games with prizes, a raffle, food, and free t-shirts to the first 50 participants in attendance. Prizes will include gift certificates to Celebration Cinemas, Midland Mall, PohlCat Golf Course, Bellacino’s, and many more. Tickets, in the form of bracelets, are $6 in advance by contacting Christine at (989) 560-2425 or $7 at the door. Price includes admission and skate rental. Aim to Build Homes: Elitist Reball Classic
Monday, March 24th – 6-10p.m. – Spinning Wheels Roller Arena. Teams of 5-6 compete at a Reball Classic (paintball with rubber balls) to earn a chance for prizes and giveaways. Raffles will be held throughout the event. Food provided! Participants can register as a team or as individuals. Entry fee is $25 pre-registered or $30 at the door. Laugh Your HATS Off Comedy Show
Monday, March 24th – 9:30p.m.-Midnight – The Cabin. What could be better a comedy show at The Cabin on a Monday Night? Come relieve some stress and share a big laugh with your friends while enjoying pizza and beverage specials. 18 and over only. No cover charge. Donations accepted at the door. Raffles throughout the night, including several tickets to Rock-N-Reggae ’08. All proceeds to benefit The Humane Animal Treatment Society (HATS). Sumo Slam 2008
Tuesday, March 25th – 5:30p.m – Woldt Emmons Residence Hall Lobby. A competition using sumo wrestling suits. Students will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to participate, enter in a 50/50 raffle, or simply provide donations. Proceeds will be given to St. Vincent Catholic Charities Children’s Home (located in Lansing), which annually helps thousands of children, of all beliefs, who are experiencing abuse and/or neglect through providing quality residential care, foster care, tutor/mentors and adoption service. Access the Fun: Access the Laughter
Friday, March 28th – 6-8p.m. – Kulhavi Residence Hall Classroom. Join us for a night full of laughter and prizes as an improv troup entertains students and Mt. Pleasant residents to benefit Access Recreation of Mt. Pleasant. Raffles for prizes. Rabbit Run Scavenger Hunt
Saturday, March 29th – 2-4p.m. – On the field between Finch Field house and the Health Professions Building. Eggs will be hidden throughout the field and will contain prizes, candy, and raffle tickets for our HUGE prize raffle. Cost is $3 for pre-registration available by email or $4 the day of the event. There will also be raffle tickets for sale in addition to those found in the eggs. The grand prize is a night on the town in Midland for two including: dinner, a Great Lakes Loons baseball game and one night accommodation in a local hotel. ACS Billiards Tournament
Monday, March 31 – 8:00 p.m.-Midnight – Wayside Central. Like playing pool? If so this is the event for you - a billiards tournament to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Singles competition in 9-ball and doubles in 8-ball. The single player early entry fee is $10 or $15 at the day of the event. Double player early fee is $15 or $20 the day of the event. Early entry ends on March 26th. No fee at the door, but donations are gladly accepted. Raffles, dancing, and live music provided by “The Guise.” Winners of the tournament will receive a prize valued above $100 and a t-shirt! CATCH the Fever PHRASE for Readers
Tuesday, April 1 – 7:00 p.m. – Woldt Resident Hall. Come help fight illiteracy during this high energy electronic catch phrase battle. Get together a team of four and come to the Woldt classroom to show off your "catch it, guess it, pass it" skills. Entry fee is $15 per team and raffle tickets will be available for prizes. Family Spring Break Escape
Friday, April 4th – 4-8p.m. – CMU Student Activity Center. Come enjoy an evening of fun for the whole family that includes bowling, swimming, contests, magic show, dinner, and prizes, and! All proceeds go to Mid-Michigan Ronald McDonald House, which provides a home away from home for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals.
